# MelodyLane: data handling and public no-sell pledge

## Our pledge
MelodyLane never sells or rents artist or fan data. We never use it to train AI models, or sell it to AI companies for model training. Revenue comes from the services artists choose to buy.

## What the service needs
Account details support sign-in and plans. Artist profiles, releases and uploaded media power public pages. Campaign events power analytics. Fans give consent before joining an artist's email list. The artist is the controller of fan contacts; MelodyLane processes them for that artist.

## Access and consent
Public pages expose public-facing content, not fan contact lists or private tokens. Private operations require a signed-in user and ownership checks or database access policies. Secrets remain server-side. Optional advertising pixels require advertising consent. A visitor can change cookie choices.

## Your controls
Settings offers an account JSON export, including owned fan contacts, and account deletion. Each campaign's fan list offers CSV export on paid plans, unsubscribe controls and individual contact deletion. Unsubscribing and deleting are different: preserve opt-out records when you need to prevent re-contact. Deleting a contact does not delete copies an artist already exported or sent to their own tools.

## Service providers and AI
Hosting, authentication, storage and payments require service providers. Optional AI features may process submitted input to return an answer; processing is not training. This pledge describes MelodyLane's use of data, not an independently verified promise about all providers. Advertising data may be sent to an artist's configured advertising providers only with applicable consent.

## Deletion and limits
Account deletion cancels owned recurring MelodyLane subscriptions before cleanup. Cancellation errors block deletion. Past payments, third-party charges and legally required records are separate. This note does not promise immediate erasure from all backups or external services.
