Export fan emails & send a newsletter

Collect permission, download your fan list, and bring it into your email service.

Everyone can read this guide. Pre-release campaigns, fan email capture and insights need Pro or Lifetime.

  1. 01

    Turn on fan email capture

In your smart link’s editor, enable fan email capture and save. This feature requires Pro or Lifetime.

Tell fans what they are subscribing to: release news, tour dates or other updates. Test the published form with an address you control.

  2. 02

    Review and export your fans

Go to Dashboard → Smart Links, open the relevant link, then open its fan list. Use the CSV export control to download the list.

Treat the file as private. Keep only the fields you need and store it securely. A submitted address is not necessarily verified: do not assume double opt-in has happened.

  3. 03

    Import into your email service

In Mailchimp, Brevo or MailerLite, choose the contact import option and upload your CSV. Match the email column and place these contacts in a clearly named artist or release group.

This is a manual export and import, not automatic newsletter syncing. Import only contacts whose permission covers the messages you plan to send, and respect unsubscribes in both systems.

  4. 04

    Send responsibly

Verify your sender domain using your email service’s instructions. Use a recognizable sender name, an honest subject line and an unsubscribe link in every marketing message.

Enable double opt-in in your email service where appropriate. Keep proof of consent, remove bounced addresses and never buy lists.

MelodyLane’s account emails are separate from your artist newsletters. Use a dedicated email-marketing service for bulk campaigns; no service can guarantee an inbox instead of spam.
