Setting up the Tracklist Preview Player for an EP or album

Import up to 8 Spotify album tracks or add songs manually, with Spotify playback or your own 15-second clips.

Anyone can read this guide. The tool it covers is part of the Studio and Lifetime plans.

  1. 1

Import an album or add songs

    • Paste an open.spotify.com/album/ link into Import a Spotify album in Studio tools → Tracklist Preview Player, then press Import tracks.
    • Review the first 8 available songs before choosing Use these tracks or Replace tracklist. Existing tracks are never replaced without confirmation.
    • If Spotify does not expose the album, add songs manually using their track links.
  2. 2

    Build the tracklist

    • Go to Dashboard → Smart Links, open the link, then open Studio tools → Tracklist Preview Player.
    • Click Add a track for each song: title, length (like 3:12) and its link. Maximum 8 tracks per Smart Link. Merch has a separate maximum of 4 items.
    • Save. Fans see the first 4 songs, then tap Hear more to reveal the rest. Show fewer collapses the list again.

Tip: Leave the link empty for a song that isn't out yet — it still shows in the list.

  3. 3

    Choose playback for each track

    • Spotify player is the default. Use a Spotify track link; the player loads only when a fan taps Preview. Spotify controls preview and full-play availability.
    • Alternatively choose Upload my own 15-second clip. Upload an MP3 or M4A up to 15 MB, no longer than 15 seconds, that you own or have permission to share.
    • To trim a full song first, open Dashboard → 15s Audio Clipper. Choose your Smart Link and Tracklist song · EP / album, then add a new track or confirm replacement of an existing song. Main song preview · Single is a separate destination and does not change any tracklist songs.
    • Save, open your fan page and test each preview. Uploaded clips use a waveform-style player and stop at 15 seconds; starting another preview pauses the previous one.
    • Your main service buttons still open the whole release.

Watch out: Track players do not autoplay when the page opens. Main teaser autoplay is a separate, optional setting and may be blocked by browsers.
