Adding an audio teaser to boost smart link taps
Let cold fans hear your hook with a waveform player before they choose a service.
Anyone can read this guide. The tool it covers is part of the Studio and Lifetime plans.
- 1
Add your song preview first
- In your smart link editor, open Song preview and add a preview clip (Apple Music or Deezer imports may fill this in; otherwise upload a clip or paste your own .mp3 link).
- To cut your own song, open Dashboard → 15s Audio Clipper, upload it and choose the highlight. Select your Smart Link and Main song preview · Single, then press Import as main preview. It saves automatically and enables the waveform player at the beginning of your clip.
- If a preview already exists, press Replace main preview and confirm. Your tracklist and release title stay unchanged.
Tip: Use the hook, not the intro. The Clipper creates a preview of up to 15 seconds; shorter songs keep their available length.

Switch on the waveform player
- Go to Dashboard → Smart Links, open the link, then open Studio tools.
- Turn on Show the waveform player.
- Optionally set Start at (seconds) so the teaser begins at the hook.

What fans see
- A waveform bar under your name with a play button. It animates while the teaser plays.
Watch out: Autoplay is off by default. Turn on Try autoplay when the page opens in Studio tools → Waveform teaser to request it. Browsers may block sound; the Play button always remains available. This does not autoplay Spotify or YouTube.
